INTRODUCTION:
Hi Igniters For Change! The Igniting Change Radio Show on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Eastern Time, entitled “Election Day Command Centers Reports”, will be live with Radio Show Co-Hosts and Transformative Justice Coalition (TJC) Co-Leaders Attorneys Barbara Arnwine, Esq. and Daryl Jones, Esq. and will feature voting reports from around the country and from the TJC, National Bar Association, and Thurgood Marshall Center for Service and Heritage’s Command Centers!
The best day of the year is here: Election Day! It’s time for everyone to get their vote on if you haven’t already voted early, and if you experience, see, or hear of ANY problems with voting, we are here to help: call 866-TJC-VOTE (833-852-8683). On This Election Day, Be sure to reach out to report problems confronting you or other voters at the polls for us to help. Our team of legal volunteers are here to help voters cast those ballots and make sure they are counted.
On November 5, 2024, Election Day, the Transformative Justice Coalition (TJC), the National Bar Association (NBA), and the Thurgood Marshall Center for Service and Heritage (TMCT) will operate three Command Centers in Atlanta, Georgia; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and a National Command Center in Washington, D.C. Each of the Command Center locations have different hours of operation and are covering different states.
TJC is a member of the Election Protection Coalition (1-866-OUR-VOTE). These Command Centers are focused on providing support to organizations working throughout the country to help voters on Election Day in a completely non-partisan way. The Command Center is committed to helping all voters facing issues on Election Day. The TJC-NBA-TMCT Command Centers preserve and strengthen democracy without being involved in a partisan effort, making a national difference in helping voters across the country, rather than in just one or two races.
The Command Centers have both legal and law student volunteers that will be providing support in answering phone calls, monitoring social media, and fielding questions from organizations and voters. Volunteers will have access to a wealth of information regarding Election Day rules throughout the country that can be used to answer questions received through the phone line. The Command Center also will file all reports that can then be used moving forward to report on Election Day occurrences and advocate for electoral change.
If you haven’t already, now’s the time to let your voice be heard! Don’t let anyone tell you you don’t matter: VOTE!
