Attorney Daryl Jones and Barbara R. Arnwine will rotate in asking questions during the show. The questions included below are designed to provide a guide but are not the only possible questions, nor may they be asked in the exact same order.
This show will feature some of the most prominent thinkers, leaders and voices in our nation providing retrospective viewpoints on the top stories of the year 2021.
We will focus the entire show on the perspectives of our guests on the top stories of 2021. How did these events influence the nation throughout the year? And we will talk about the stories the media missed or failed to cover adequately. Without question, 2021 was a year that opened with major expectations for the Biden Administration and the new Democratic Party controlled Congress. After his pronouncement that he would “have the back of Black America” did President Biden fulfill that promise? How were those expectations met or missed? How did the January 6th insurrection disrupt that agenda? What progress was made in the area of racial, economic or gender justice? Why has Voting Rights, Criminal Justice Reform, CRT Bans, Economic Inequality, and Reparations been covered by the media? What retrogression occurred? Who were the major players and figures of the year? Did the media adequately cover these stories?
These are the issues we will cover during this show.
We will also be joined by Ms. Sankaranarayan of Mediators Without Boarders who will announce an upcoming National Dialogue: Good Trouble 2022: Ensuring Voting Rights in America” featuring TJC Leaders, Barbara Arnwine and Daryl Jones, to be held on January 5th, 7:00-8:30 PM.
