This week's show will reprise Monday night’s Virtual Town Hall Event "Democracy At The Cliff: Runaway State Legislatures, Supreme Court Injustice & Reform, and the Perils of Project 2025” which featured an all-star panel of voting rights and civil rights experts, including two TJC Fellows.
This week's show will feature expert guests to examine the impact of these horrendous and dangerous actions of the Supreme Court of the United States. Barbara, Daryl, and all the expert guests will break these cases down and discuss how they will affect the daily lives of the American people and our Democracy.

This week's show will be held at a very historic moment as President Joe Biden has not only decided not to run but has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris who has seemed to secure enough delegates to be the next Democratic presidential nominee. This critical development came right on the heels of TJC and partners’ tremendous John Lewis National Day of Action and Candlelight Vigils advocating for the need for passage of the Freedom to Vote Act, the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the Native American Voting Rights Act, and the Washington, D.C. Admissions Act while honoring the legacy of the late Congressman John Lewis. Once again, our nation is confronting its quest for a robust and inclusive democracy in these unprecedented times.
This week's show Damon T. Hewitt to discuss his leadership on alerting the nation about the challenges of AI to voting and racial justice if not regulated properly. The Igniting Change audience will learn a lot from his prescient advocacy and expertise on this subject. He will also talk about his role as President and Executive Director of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
