The Transformative Justice Coalition is seeking talented and exceptional applicants for our Fall GenZ and Millennial Voting Rights Leadership Training to be held on September 20-24th in Washington, DC. Since 2016, this training has been offered to dedicated young leaders to enhance critical skills through a voting rights immersion series of substantive panels featuring the nation’s top voting rights, civic engagement and racial justice advocates, scholars, leaders and activists.  Subject matters to be covered include the historic and current fight for voter justice, the role of youth leadership, communications training, how to effectively undertake community and campus organizing, voter registration, voter education, voter mobilization, and voter protection events throughout the United States. This intense training program includes approximately twelve workshops, a community service outreach activity, an introduction to the who’s who in the advocacy arena, and a $500 stipend.

Because this is an all-expense paid opportunity, we are only accepting fifty people. Applicants must be ages 18 – 35 years.  You must be available to attend the entire conference, participate in a pre-conference interview, complete a homework assignment, and adhere to our policies of respect and code of conduct.   To be considered, all applicants must complete the attached application.  The application deadline is Thursday, August 24, 2023.  The application can be accessed at https://bit.ly/TJCSEPT2023.
