A graduate of University of Miami School of Law, Attorney V. Lynn Whitfield, Esq. has been practicing law in the South Florida area for appropriately 40 years. She started her legal career as an assistant state attorney. She relocated to Palm Beach County in 1985, and began working for the Public Defender for Palm Beach County.

She then served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of West Palm Beach. After seven years, she opened her own practice specializing in criminal defense and municipal law.

She has been the City Attorney for both North Miami and Hallandale Beach. In addition, she has appeared as a legal commentator for Channel 25- WPBF, the ABC affiliate, in West Palm Beach. She has lectured to national, state and local organizations. She has been honored by numerous national, state and local organizations for community and professional services. She is a lifetime member of the National Bar Association and has been an active volunteer with Election Protection for many years.

She is currently working as the Election Protection Fellow for the National Bar Association and Transformative Justice Coalition.
